(1 Mbps * 60 seconds * 60 minutes * 24 hours * 30.72 days) / 8 bits / 1024 bytes
Our goal is to calculate how many megabits we could use in 1 month span, doing the math that is 2654208 Mb, but we don’t want to know the megabits, we want to know gigabytes so we then convert it to bytes so we know there are 8 bits per byte so we take our number and divide it by 8 bits, giving us 331776, but wait that is Megabytes, close to what we want but we want Gigabytes, so going from one unit to another we know there are 1024 Megabytes in a Gigabyte so we go a head and convert that one more time and we now know that there are 324 GB of potential transfer if you run a 1 Mbps line non-top for one month.
